Having friends is one of the most important things in life.
They make you who you are.
They build you and help you grow.
They are part of you.
But we all have different friends, and you don't always get to spend time with the ones you want to.
Some friends live half way around the world and even the simple task of talking isn't an easy option.
It hard, because you have all this history, but you can't share it with your other friends. They just don't get it the way the others do. You can't say all those inside jokes, because they just won't understand. You can't share all those memories, because they don't share the same ones. You can't even really tell them about your other friends, because it doesn't feel like it's your place. It doesn't feel like they'd want to hear. It doesn't feel like they'd understand just what amazing people those friends are. Sure, you can talk about all of these things, but they'll just smile, nod, maybe laugh when promted, but they just won't understand the way those other friends would. And it's no use explaining, that would just be time wasted.
Having friends is one of the most important things on your life... I would even say they're the most important.
They make you who you are.
They build you and help you grow.
They are part of you. They are part of your heart.
And most importantly, friends will always be friends, no matter how many miles are put between them, because memories, laughs, and friendship lasts for a lifetime. And even if you can't always share it, it's the though that counts.
