Chapter 2: or rather, "the preface" and a bit more :)

So yes, this is us in 8th grade. Far left is Eevi (still a blonde back then :P) then comes Kelsey, then A then Emilie and sitting on her lap is T (WE MISS YOU!!) , in the front is me (Martina).
On one random field trip to watch a rather boring performance of Romeo and Juliet here we are, us 8th graders, when technically the inspiration for all this comes from.

So, yes. why did we start this blog? Well, many things to be said there! A relatively long story could be cut short by going back in time a couple years. Back to the days when the biggest problems were getting ink all over one's homework and not feeling like starting again (much different from today's AWESOME situation - where one has piles of work and merely prefers to eat chocolate and stare at facebook for hours feeling guilty about the lack of homework that has been completed)
So, here we are, in 8th grade. MUSIC CLASS. GAH. what a stupid idea. who the hell forces 13 year olds to take MUSIC CLASS when everyone knows that when given drum sticks and a drum they're just going to sit there acting like Ringo Star wanting to be cool but failing miserably? Haha, well of course, we WEREN'T like that. Actually, i probably was. But that's cause of my problems with anything musical or artistic - I just don't work well it it! Anyway, so given the project of having to start a band, Kelsey on piano, Eevi singing, Emilie on bass (or "air guitar" as they both have the same effect), A on lead guitar and I on the epicly epic drumkit quickly sorted out our roles, and finally decided upon the song BITTER by TEDDY GEIGER from the movie THE ROCKER (a movie to be watched my friends. It's good.. :D ) Though close to choosing some Greenday song, we didn't in the end, and remained with our Geiger, who, actually, when seen from certain angles, is quite some good looking guy. But that's not the point.
The point is (and i dont know why it just took me so many words to get to this but that's just the way I am) that we chose this song and totally rocked it - well, compared to the others. I remember it being quite a failure - but then again, that was caused solely by me not starting or stopping in time (along with Emilie's totally unsuccesful "fake playing"). The song will forever be OURS and whenever we hear it some weird reflex in our brains gets us to start "air playing" the song. It's funny to watch. I'm telling you - we're like perfectly synchronized and still remember every detail (Kelsey and Eevi remember the correct stuff, Emilie and I just play along looking sorta stupid :P)
This is how we became, and this is why those in this blog are the "bitter people" as we defined it when we thought of the idea one day during one terribly boring math class when logs were trying to be forgotten but functions were continuously bringing them back into our lives - and not in the woody form either. So here it is, BITTER - the insipiration to this all: Bitter - Teddy Geiger (The Rocker)

Who wouldn't be inspired by such a happy looking bunch? Technically talking, Emilie's the girl on the right (pseudo depressed girl who rarely smiles except at the end), Kelsey the anorexic dude on the right, Eevi - TEDDY - on the left (which is fine by her :P) and I'm the pleasant looking cool kid in the front. YIPPEE. But really, our band was cool :P I mean, who else can mess up so bad and still win the worse Battle of the Bands in history and then use it all as an insipration? Indeed, I thought so...

Another two youtube links i believe need to be added to this just because they make us "us" are:
1) YOUR MOM'S DANCE^^

A clip by two awesomely cool german guys who though speaking in german, are hilarious. Three parts to be watched for those of you non-turk-accented-german speaking people:
minute 1:17 "the parent's dance"
minute 1:32 "the grandparent's dance"
miute 2:17 "my friend trying to get a girl"
both of these dances often turn up in our daily lives. or they will in the future anyway. (Thanks to Eevi and her youtube obsession for showing them to me, they provide plentiful entertainment during PE - no joke!)

2) And last but not least, just because we ALL need some Charlie in our lives and being teenage girls, who doesn't need the McCoollike Important Institution to answer questions? Here we go, with another one of Charlie's awesome clips :) Understanding Teenage Boys
Let's just hope I added some youtube to your lives, for this would generally be Eevi's job, but i think she has a story about some grape falling down the stairs to share, so I'll just do this one! Interesting to know why we started this huh? Actually, it's not all too an exciting story, but it's better than the usual "we were bored" so gimme some credit! :D
