Chapter 1: Soccer in PE (or football for those very... unique individuals :P )

It was windy and sopping wet as we lazily trudged onto... okay enough with the fairytale.
So we walked (okay, partially skipped) onto the gazillion dollar fake field (yes, our school spend loads of money on a plastic field that gives you carpet burns) for our highly anticpated soccer class in PE. No seriously, it's fun because we're allowed to suck without having to care. Why? 'Cause we're girls. Yeah, its sexist, but this time it works to our advantage. I would like to add that it was freeeeeeeezing. The type of cold that turns your hands solid and makes them sting.
So anyway, it was pretty average up until the games. You know the typical passing and kicking and running like a maniac after the ball that just happened to hit someone’s foot and go flying off in the totally wrong direction. Yeah, that type of stuff. Anyway, in the changing rooms, I had decided that, to avoid possible injuries, that I would make a sign. I have a record of accidentally injuring people while playing sport in PE. I know it sounds ridiculous, but seriously, it happens every lesson. It's not like I mean it, it just happens, so I decided to forewarn everyone - I didn't want a new victim. The sign said "DANGER. (in red capitals, just to add affect) Likely to injure. 10 metre radius preferred." Unfortunately, we didn't have any tape... and it just sat in my pocket for the whole time. And doubly unfortunately, I managed to keep up my reputation.
We started playing a girls against girls game (don't you think it's funny how the teacher ALWAYS goes and plays with the boys, and doesn't pay any attention to our game. Disrespectful much!? I mean, we can play too... kinda... well, okay, fine, not really but... still... we try... most of the time... oh who am I kidding...) and halfway through... disaster struck. Martina was on the other team, and we both went for the ball and guess what... in the next second she was on the ground clutching her foot. Yes. I had managed to step on her foot (sorry :/ ). I guess it was lucky she was on the other team cause I do manage to injure my own team mates. Luckily, that was the only injury I managed to inflict (yay... or not... no, yes, oh I don't know).
Also, one of my shoe laces was forever coming untied and it was annoying Eevi so much that she was screaming and throwing a tantrum because of it. What can I say? It's something about the soccer, makes everyone mental.
Anyway, eventually we joined with the guys so we could play a mega game (really, its just the guys controlling the ball, and the girls attempting to contribute, but miserably failing, and therefore just trying to keep out of it - don't get me wrong, the girls in my class are super sporty, but we don't play soccer. We probably play EVERY other sport imaginable, no joke, just not soccer). Emilie was on my team and at one point we both got a "good pass" or "good work" from one of the soccer guys on our team (yeah, so he was always saying stuff like that - I do the same thing when I'm playing my types of sports - but you know, it was soccer class, and we're always a bit hyper when we play outside... it's weird actually). So anyway we ran towards each other with our hand up in the air, and in one big motion, SMACK. "OUCH!" Oops. Big mistake...we'd forgotten that it was cold. Our hands stung, and I could suddenly feel my fingers again. But not in a good way.
That high five haunted us for the rest of the game, and must have telepathically connected us, because afterwards, we had put the goals away and were starting the walk back when I saw one lone soccer ball at the end of the field. I said "Soccer ball," and we both looked at each other. Then at the ball. And in unison we started sprinting towards it. We epically battled it out, kicking the soccer ball and lunging to get the upper hand, until we got to the gate, where we laughed and animatedly talked about out battle. I swear it was something to do with that high five. I could still feel it when we were in the changing room. Another awesome soccer lesson, plus out team ended up winning (we didn't do much but it's nice to celebrate). But definitely no more high fives on the soccer field. Unless they are conducted with extreme care.

Eevi: "I am so proud that I can say tree" :)
Me: "Everyone can say tree. Say three."
Eevi: "No!" :P
